My first five minutes with Leopard

Here are very quick impressions of Leopard after playing with it for a few minutes.

Leopard takes a pretty long time to install on the original Macbook Pro 1.83 GHZ Core Duo. Over an hour.

The Apple in the menu bar is now black instead of the blue in Tiger

I think the 3-D Dock looks cool. Maybe I'm just into the eye candy.

I really dislike the standard folder icons. They just look too plain!

I don't like the see through menus. There's really no point to it. I can't wait until someone writes a utility to turn it off.

UPDATES:
The 3-D Dock really looks great with the starry night background. Not so hot when there's other stuff on the screen. It starts to look really cluttered and harder to pick out the icons.

I think I'm really going to like Spaces. I'm still figuring out how to use it, but I think it's going to be helpful in organizing my windows. Once you assign an application to a space, you hop to that space by clicking on that application's icon in the dock. You can switch spaces through a keystroke or a menu at the top of the page.
The Bamboo desktop and the see-through menu bar looks pretty bad together!
